Close details of ‘Rajasthani women’ 120x160cm, acrylic on canvas, 2024.
Rajasthani sisters, Acrylic on canvas, 120 x 160cm. My first painting of 2024, recreating my earlier Indian folk art series onto large size canvases this year.
Since my college days I was fascinated and hugely influenced by the paintings of A. Ramachandran Sir and till date if I have an artist-block I go back to his paintings and get inspired all over again. I had the good luck and opportunity to spend one whole day with him in his studio in New Delhi watching him work, he and his wife were so kind towards a young student, he fondly showed me around his paintings and his ink sketches on paper, those precious moments will always stay with me. 🥰
Had my first presentation of artworks in a private gathering last week. What a fabulous evening with some illustrious guests from all over, I am so thankful that they all came taking out their precious time from their busy Xmas schedule. Many thanks to @dahlkeimmobilienag @juli_haidar for initiating this idea and organising this event in their glorious conference hall 🥂🍾💐. Lastly thanks to my wonderful husband @rajirajapreyar who stands by me on every step, encourages and cheers on my each artwork. ❤️
